Financial Assistance

Our Commitment to Serve the Community

The Gianna Center of Philadelphia is dedicated to providing women's health and fertility care that helps to build a culture of life in our community.  The Gianna Center of Philadelphia serves patients who have private insurance, those with medicare and Medicaid, and some with no insurance. For patients without insurance or with limited incomes, we offer reduced rates on a sliding scale.

INSURED PATIENTS: 

At Gianna Center of Philadelphia each patient’s treatment plan is tailored to her individual needs.  The cost of medical care is determined by many factors, and individual insurance policies have varied coverage and requirements.   You are responsible for calling your insurance carrier at the number given on the back of your card to check for your coverage, deductibles, co-insurance and co-pay responsibilities.

You are responsible for obtaining a properly dated referral if required by your insurer, and you will be responsible for payment if your claim denies for the lack of one.

We will submit medical claims to your insurance company. Any additional co-payment, deductibles and/or co-insurance are due at the time of service.  Your insurance company will mail you an Explanation of Benefits outlining the services rendered and the portion of the bill which is your responsibility.

If our medical personnel do not participate with your insurance plan, the insurer may send the payment directly to you.  In that case, we will bill you for payment.

NON-COVERED SERVICES:

At Gianna Center of Philadelphia, we provide some services that are not covered by insurance. We will make you aware of those services and their charges in advance.  In the event that your insurance plan determines a service to be “not covered”, you will be responsible for payment.  

OUT-OF-NETWORK PATIENTS: 

If you have out of network benefits, the Gianna Center of Philadelphia may submit the claim to the insurance or directly to you. 

SELF PAY

Payment for services is due prior to or at the time service/treatment is given.  Our practice accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Care Credit. We also accept personal checks and cash. 

We understand that each situation is different. Our mission is to serve all patients and couples that need our assistance. We are more than happy to talk to you about your  concerns for the care to be affordable and accessible. 

When appropriate, we will recommend discounts that you may be eligible for to reduce your treatment expenses. Please don't hesitate to ask a member of our staff when you make your appointment.

If you believe that you are unable to pay the nominal fee that is requested by our sliding fee scale (ranging from $30 to $70), we offer free visits to those who qualify.
