Against all odds, magnanimous individuals have enchanced and strhengthened the Culture of Life in our area. We honor these individuals who had the courage, as did St. Gianna, and remind people of the beauty of authentic love.
St. Gianna Beretta Molla was a devout wife, mother, and physician who willingly sacrificed her life rather than abort her unborn child when diagnosed with a uterine tumor. Because of St. Gianna's eleoquent witness to the beauty of love and sanctity of all human life, the Gianna Center of Philadelphia took this heroic saint as its patron. The Gianna Center was founded to provide authentically Catholic, Pro-Life reproductive health care for women.
